NoVa tomorrow!

Lindsey, me, and newborn Grayson!
Tomorrow we are headed up to Gainesville to visit my best friend Lindsey and her husband Chad, who had their first child in April. Their son, Grayson is getting baptized and we're headed to the ceremony and to a reception at their new house. We are so excited to see how this little man has grown! Can't wait to see you tomorrow Lindsey!!
I'll leave you with my latest bump picture, the scale shot up this week, and my belly shot out! :)

4th Place!

Today was the Charlottesville Xterra Triathlon, and my 2 office mates and I formed a relay team for the race. Jackie swam .75 miles, Laura mountain biked 11.5 miles, I trail ran 4 miles, and it was AWESOME! They haven't posted the individual results yet, but overall our team finished 4th among the relays, and in 2hrs and 40 minutes! Here's us at the finish line!

Just a quick update :)

Just thought I'd write about about the past couple weeks!
I've been feeling the first movements in my stomach. I notice it after I've had an especially active day, when I'm laying real still in the evening into the night. It feels like a goldfish fluttering around in my abdomen. It's the coolest feeling ever, I think Ben is a little jealous that he can't feel anything yet!
My bump is also growing....I attempted to fit into some of my jeans and shorts this past week and couldn't get the button quite buttoned. Thank goodness that I pretty much live in stretchy workout pants! The scale hasn't moved much, but I'm expanding day by day! In case you don't believe me, check it out!
There's a bump there for sure!

That's all I've got for now...Our next ultrasound will be September 14th where we will find out the gender. SO exciting!

on a side note - This weekend I'm going to the running leg of the Charlottesville Xterra Tri-athlon with two of my co-workers.....wish me luck!

Update!

Hi all!
Today I had a check up at the doctor, and it was the quickest doctor's appointment I have ever been to! I was literally in and out in 5 minutes! Everything is going well however, and he informed me that I should be starting to feel little flutters of movement in the next week or so, how amazing! I also heard the heartbeat again, a strong 150bpm, and since I haven't gained any weight since the last time I saw the doc, I took myself immediately to Bodos for a egg and cheese bagel.Yummm.

After work I headed to Target to go a little baby crazy and buy some little items for the baby such as mittens, hats, and some super soft blankets that I may steal for myself! It's really hard to shop without knowing the gender! All the 'neutral' items are orange, green, or yellow, which probably get real old, real fast.  We will be finding out the sex at our 22 week ultrasound, at the end of September. After that, let the shopping begin!!
I'm pretty sure this needs to be in our onesie collection :)

Vacation Adventures!

We're back!
Vacation was amazing, once we parked the car in the driveway we didn't use it once. We walked and biked everywhere, and took the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard as well. It was so nice to relax and get away from work. I rode a bike for the first time since 5th or 6th grade, and by the end of the week, I actually felt confident on the bike! The beaches in New England are much more rocky than down South and the water was REALLY cold, but it felt good after all our biking and walking. I loved running up there in the mornings, it was flat, and it felt like I could go for miles.
Here are some pictures from our adventures, Enjoy!

1st stop, New Haven, CT to visit our friends Kevin and Colleen!

We even bought some stuff for little baby Schnable, He/She now has a onesie, some booties, and what must be the coolest stroller on the block. Sorry Ben, we're going to have a preppy baby whether you like it or not :)
